Glotz

For iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Vision Pro

IPTV. As its meant to be.

The only streaming app you will ever need. You bring the subscription, Glotz turns it into the library your provider never bothered to build.

You bring your own subscription. Glotz is the player.

How it works

Set up in three steps.

  1. Enter your credentials

The details of your existing IPTV provider. Once, after that they live in your device’s keychain.

  2. Glotz tidies up

Every title gets a poster, a description and a rating. A list turns into a library.

  3. Start watching

On iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. Watchlist and progress travel through your iCloud.

Glotz ships no content, no channels and no subscription. What you get to see is decided by your provider alone. That is why the app looks different for everyone.

Library

Five sources. One movie.

Providers stack prefixes, resolutions, country codes and years into the title, and hand you the same movie five times over. Glotz cleans up the name and files every version under one entry.

Others show lists.
Glotz shows movies.

Most IPTV players are file browsers with a play button. Glotz treats your subscription like a library: posters, franchises, people, one state on every device.

  • A podcast called “The Breakfast Club” does not get the 1985 film poster here. Empty beats wrong.
  • Type “jonah hill” and you get Jonah Hill. Not thirty movies he appears in for two minutes.
  • Star Wars from Episode I to IX. Not “Star Wars (1977) 4K HDR DE” somewhere between shopping channels and sports.

As of September 2026. Details about other apps are taken from their descriptions and prices on the German App Store and their websites. “Not listed” means: not mentioned in the vendor’s own description. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Features

What else you will notice.

  • Search that understands

Not just titles: people, franchises and studios. “Jonah Hill” leads to a profile with the roles that matter, weighted by billing rather than by popularity.

  • Take it offline

Download movies and episodes and watch without a connection. Transfers keep running while the app is closed, and stay on the device.

  • Empty beats wrong

A title without a confident match stays without a poster. A podcast called “The Breakfast Club” does not get the 1985 film poster here.

  • Franchises both ways

Land on a series and you find its franchise, and through it everything that belongs to it. Not “more like this” but actual membership.

  • Two languages, fully

German and English, right down to the descriptions and the posters. Switch and everything changes at once.

  • The player does more

Switch audio and subtitles mid-stream, double tap to jump 15 seconds, speed from 0.5× to 2×, picture in picture and AirPlay.

  • Live watchdog

If a channel stays black, Glotz notices and switches decoder before you reach for the remote. Sound without picture does not count as success.

  • Share a title

A link with cover art for the group chat. Anyone with Glotz lands right on the title, with their own provider.

  • Pick a version

If a movie comes in several languages or qualities, Glotz asks before it starts: English or German, 4K or HD. One tap, no digging.

Colour worlds

Twelve moods. A matching icon.

The background follows the title you are on. Prefer one fixed mood? Pick a colour world, and the app icon comes along.

Plainly

A window.
Not a provider.

There are two kinds of app in this space. One sells you access to content, the other shows you what you already have access to. Glotz is the second kind, and nothing else.

We run no content servers, broker no providers and earn nothing from their sales. We have nothing to do with illegal IPTV services and want nothing to do with them. Whether your subscription is lawful is your responsibility.

Pricing

Free to use.
Paid when you want more.

Library, franchises, search, watchlist and iCloud sync stay free. You pay for convenience, not for access.

Common questions

The important part first.

Do I need my own provider?

Yes. Glotz ships with no content. You enter the credentials of your existing IPTV provider, and Glotz presents whatever that provider makes available to you.

Will the app look the same for me?

The layout yes, the content no. Which movies, shows and channels you see depends entirely on your subscription. The screenshots on this page show a sample library.

Do you sell subscriptions or content?

No. Neither subscriptions nor channels nor movies. We have no business relationship with any provider and receive nothing from one.

Then why an account on the website?

For the waitlist and the TestFlight application. The app itself needs no account. Later the account carries sync between Apple devices and everything else.

How do I get into TestFlight?

Create an account, tick the application on the waitlist. The invitation arrives by email from Apple as soon as a seat opens up. A subscription with your own provider is required.

Where do my credentials live?

In your device’s keychain. They leave your device only to sign in to your own provider. They are never transmitted to us.

What travels through iCloud?

Watchlist, progress and finished titles, through your private iCloud. That runs between your devices and Apple, not through a server of ours.

Where do posters and descriptions come from?

From TMDB, a public film database. Glotz sends it only the title it is looking up. Never your credentials, and never what you actually watch.

When do Android, Fire TV, Samsung and LG arrive?

The port is planned and prepared, in this order: Android and Android TV first, then Fire TV, then Samsung and LG. We name a date once it holds.

Waitlist

Your subscription.
Finally an app to go with it.

Create an account, join, ask for a TestFlight seat. Two minutes.

For iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Vision Pro. A subscription with your own provider is required.
